Normandy

The largest military landing in history took place in Normandy on June 6, 1944. Monuments, museums, bunkers and cemeteries are a living commemoration to the Battle of Normandy. A perfect base from which to tour the beaches was the first town liberated by the Allies: the historic town of Bayeux. Built around the magnificent Cathedral of Notre-Dame, it is home to the 200-foot long Bayeux Tapestry, a world famous masterpiece of embroidery whose vivid scenes depict the epic tale of William the Conqueror's expedition to England in the 11th century.
The Abbey of Mont Saint-Michel is perched on a 264-foot high rocky islet connected to mainland France by a causeway. Surrounded by over half a mile of massive walls and reached by a steep climb up winding streets, it remains one of the greatest sightseeing attractions in Europe and the second most visited place in France after the Eiffel Tower.

Strasbourg

is the capital of the Alsace region in eastern France and lies on the border with Germany, giving it a unique flavor of both countries. Historically, the city was German speaking but French is now the dominant language. The city is an excellent example of reconciliation between different nations, heralding the best of different cultures and is a bridge of unity between France and Germany. The grand German architecture and scenic banks of the River Îll winding through the ancient city, give contrasting views of a vibrant capital which makes it one of Europe’s most attractive destinations.

Lake Como

is the third largest of the Italian lakes and one of the deepest lakes in Europe. Located at the foot of the Alps, Lake Como provides one of the most picturesque sceneries in the world.

Venice

A city built on 118 islands off the coast of northeastern Italy, Venice is unlike any other city in Europe or, for that matter, the world. Virtually unchanged in appearance for more than 600 years, the City of Canals looks more like something out of a picture book than a modern metropolis. Packed with great art and architecture, Venice is a place where the entire city is viewed as an attraction in itself.

Assisi

Best known as the birthplace of St. Francis, Italy's patron saint, Assisi lies amid Umbria's rolling hills. Religious pilgrims have come here for centuries to visit the Basilica of San Francesco and the Basilica of Santa Chiara.

Rome

stands as one of the finest and oldest cities in the world. The history of Rome spans over 2500 years and it has been a center of power, politics, culture and development since its inception. Creation of the city is steeped in legend and mythology. Various Roman emperors and Caesars have ruled mighty Rome, the place from which the colossal Roman Empire grew. As time progressed, various monuments, palaces and religious buildings have been constructed in the city and now stand as beautiful tourist attractions and a reminder of the cities glorious past. Rome is consistently ranked as one of the top tourist destinations in Europe.
